Kyiv cancels emergency power cuts, but up to 50% remain without electricity

In the capital and surrounding region, emergency outage schedules have been suspended, but up to half of Kyiv’s consumers remain without power. Emergency power outages have been canceled in Kyiv and Kyiv Oblast. At the same time, up to 50% of consumers in the capital remain without power, DTEK and the Ministry of Energy noted.

Situation in the regions

In most oblasts, emergency outages continue by order of NEC "Ukrenergo". This applies to regions where energy infrastructure has been damaged.

Reasons for the restrictions

The primary reason for the intensified restrictions is the consequences of previous massive missile-and-drone attacks by Russian forces on energy facilities, which have complicated the restoration of supply.

Information about outage schedules and operational notices is published exclusively on the official resources of regional distribution operators; in the event of changes we will inform the public.

Risks to restoration

Oleksandr Kharchenko, director of the Energy Research Center, said that if the strikes continue, Ukraine may lack the necessary equipment to fully restore the power system.
