Police detained a 52-year-old Kyiv resident suspected of unlawfully selling munitions. During a sanctioned search of the suspect’s home, explosive items were seized, including a grenade-launcher round, fragments of munitions and cartridges.

The police identified the seller as a 52-year-old resident of the capital who was selling prohibited explosive items. During a search of his apartment, a grenade-launcher round, parts of munitions and cartridges were seized.

The explosion occurred on October 30 at a Ukrposhta sorting center while inspecting a package; five people were injured — postal employees and customs officers.

Earlier, law enforcement detained a 40-year-old resident of Ternopil: according to the investigation, he purchased munitions online, engraved markings on them and sent them in a package that later detonated.
